AbstractA Database Structure for Describing Wells in the Third Dimension Track: Database Design, Automation, and Management Author(s): Doris Reilly The Orange County Water District (OCWD) has used ArcInfo and Oracle for more than 10 years to manage an extensive network of wells within the Orange County, California, groundwater basin. The Oracle database serves as a repository for information about each well, such as ownership and construction details. Time-series data measured at each well, including water level measurements, water quality analyses, and water production data, are also stored in the database. This presentation provides an overview of a relational database structure that OCWD developed to describe specialized well designs that may have multiple measurement points at various depths at a single well site.
