Abstract
Implementing an ArcIMS Solution for Small Local Government

The paper will outline the fundamental issues that need to be addressed by small local government organizations to implement a cost-effective customized ArcIMS solution that provides massive access to their GIS data sets, both for the internal staff as well as the general public. Helpful hints will be shared with the audience about how to specify the necessary hardware and software requirements based on application size and traffic volume, and how to spread the use of GIS throughout the city.
