AbstractPlanning, Developing, and Implementing a Seamless Geodatabase for Central Arkansas Water Track: Water Distribution, Wastewater, and Stormwater Author(s): Ron Butcher On July 1, 2001, Little Rock and North Little Rock water systems were combined to create Central Arkansas Water (CAW). The Little Rock water system had adopted Esri's ArcInfo and ArcView products for water system inventory. North Little Rock was using AutoCAD and valve cards for tracking and producing water system maps. Once combined, CAW decided to use a combination of ArcGIS, ArcSDE, and ArcIMS with the ArcFM water data model to merge the two water systems. This presentation explains the planning, development, and implementation process for integrating the Little Rock and North Little Rock water systems into a seamless geodatabase.
