AbstractCreation of Map Modernization DFIRM for Clark County, Nevada Track: Cartography and Map Production Author(s): Pernille Buch-Pedersen, Spencer Wiley, Kathryn Field By partnering with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Clark County, Nevada, was able to structure its data delivery for Digital Flood Insurance Rate Map (DFIRM) production. Close coordination between Clark County and the FEMA Mapping Coordination Contractor helped expedite Map Mod production. Raster files to be used with the DFIRM view tool and vector GIS files were delivered. An overview of the technical challenges faced during the creation of the Map Mod DFIRM will be discussed.
