AbstractGIS Implementation Plan for DFIRM Production Track: Cartography and Map Production Author(s): Kathryn Field, Lynda Hutson, Steven Van Epps To continue success in Federal Emergency Management Agency's Digital Flood Insurance Rate Map (DFIRM) production, a database of geographic spatial data will be implemented. Phase I was successful in migrating production from an Intergraph solution to an Esri based solution, while phase II will incorporate the GeoDatabase model. This model will incorporate Esri's SDE in conjunction with Oracle 8.i. Combined with Esri's software suite this model sanctions a highly customizable and scalable production environment. In addition, the system will allow for "heads-up" QC format and fitting of data as well as projects to be stored in a fraction of the previously required space. Kathryn Field Michael Baker Jr., Inc.
