AbstractAnalysis of River Meanders in Property Boundary Disputes Track: Cadastral and Land Records Author(s): Donald Williams Changes in river courses often give rise to legal disputes over the location of property boundaries, as three examples from Arkansas and Mississippi demonstrate. Accurate analysis of these changes depends on being able to properly overlay data from various maps and aerial photographs at uniform scales and with constant orientations. ArcInfo and ArcView provide effective tools for both documenting river course changes and effectively demonstrating the nature of these changes in the courtroom.
