Abstract
Implementing Cityworks for Water/Wastewater Facility Management Utilizing ArcGIS 8.1

The City of Evanston, Illinois Water Department recently implemented an asset management / work order system for its water and sewer systems. The project utilized ArcGIS 8.1, Azteca Systems' Cityworks, and Oracle8i to accomplish the task. This presentation will discuss the automation of water/wastewater features destined for a geodatabase, modifications to Azteca Systems standard geodatabase models to accommodate Evanston's water, combined sewer and relief sewer systems, the current status of the system, and what lessons were learned regarding the implementation.
