AbstractWhat's Eligible Here? Distributing Cultural Resources Data with ArcExplorer 3.1 Track: Ecology, Archaeology, and Conservation Author(s): Kinney Clark This paper will detail the process of enabling GIS for nontechnical users in a small state office using ArcExplorer. The New Jersey State Historic Preservation Office (HPO) needed to provide HPO staff access to cultural resource data sets from a recently completed pilot development project and chose ArcExplorer to maximize staff awareness and use of this data while minimizing the learning curve. This choice also capitalized on the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's existing ArcIMS map services for additional feature and image data layers. Staff training, data management, and continued development will all be explored.
