AbstractSpeed and Accuracy in Parcel Mapping with Mathematical Content Recognition Track: Cadastral and Land Records Author(s): Arvind Ganesan, Curt Szymanski Mathematical Content Recognition (MCR), or Text-to-Vector is a next-generation coordinate geometry (COGO) technology that introduces both speed and accuracy into parcel mapping. MCR converts scanned land records, including survey maps, deeds, and legal descriptions, into survey-accurate vector files through a simple point-and-click process. Because MCR automatically recognizes and intelligently extracts pertinent textual survey information from scanned land records, it eliminates keyboard entry, saves time, and preserves survey measurements. This paper will cover the technical aspects of MCR while comparing this technology to traditional COGO, digitization, and raster-to-vector parcel mapping techniques. Live demonstrations will focus on speed, accuracy, accountability, usability, and archiving issues. Arvind Ganesan UCLID Software, LLC 8383 Greenway Boulevard Suite ##500 P.O.
