AbstractBuilding WLIS: The Wisconsin Land Information System Track: State and Local Government Author(s): Jerome Sullivan This paper will examine efforts to address Wisconsin's newly amended Land Information Legislation (stats. 16.967(6)). This requires State agencies to annually prepare "a plan to integrate land information to enable such information to be readily translatable, retrievable, and geographically referenced for use by any State, local governmental unit, or public utility. The plans shall include the information that will be needed by local governmental units to prepare comprehensive plans containing planning elements required under s. 66.1001 (2)." The state agencies' plans will be compared across the fiver IT architectures: organization, information, technology, applications, and security.
