Abstract
Resource Management in the Mobile (Wireless) Operator

This paper will describe the challenges and solutions to managing all the physical resources in a mobile or wireless operator. A mobile operator has literally thousands of locations, each with assets. A location may have as little as $10,000 in assets to well in excess of several million dollars in assets. Further complicating good resource management is the ease of movement of many of the assets. An operator's profitability is heavily impacted by how well all assets are management and utilized. A resource management solution is described that, by the very nature of the widely geographically disbursed locations, is heavily dependent on Esri GIS technology.
