AbstractCurrent Imagery Enables Urban Planning Track: Remote Sensing Imagery Author(s): Jeff Liedtke Authors: Ron Holmes and Jeff Liedtke This presentation examines the utility of orthorectified imagery and other GIS layers to aid in timely urban planning. GIS data layers were registered and overlaid on 2 foot orthoimagery to measure and track growth, and help identify suitable areas for development while reducing environmental impacts. This information is presented and visualized in a variety of ways to convey important messages to government and public stakeholders.
