AbstractFlorida Keys Carrying Capacity Analysis Model Track: Modeling Author(s): Ricardo Calvo, Debra Childs, Robert Hudson The Carrying Capacity Analysis Model (CCAM) is an ArcView 8.1 application developed as a decision making and land use planning tool. The model analyzes user-specified scenarios using GIS analysis techniques for raster, vector, and tabular data. Development scenario definitions include location, intensity, configuration, type, and condition of land use. Resulting impacts to the terrestrial environment, marine environment, and socio economic conditions are calculated and interactively reported. Model outputs include terrestrial species richness and habitat parameters, pollutant loads, near-shore water quality, changes in population, demand for services, and infrastructure as well as several other indicators.
