Abstract
Common Installation Picture Development for Multiple Air Bases in Korea

PACAF developed a Common Installation Picture (CIP) for seven air bases in the Republic of Korea. A team of qualified GIS and mapping firms on the Korean peninsula was created to accomplish the task. The paper will present the unique political, cultural, and technological challenges of photogrammetrically developing the geospatial products that are the foundation of the CIP (GIS layers, TIN models, 3D features, orthoimagery, FGDC metadata) throughout military installations in Korea (both USAF and ROKAF).
