Abstract
A Geospatial Resource Data Center for the USDA NRCS

This paper presents the efforts and accomplishments of the development of a geospatial natural resource data center for the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). The project will outline the process and progress of the National Cartography and Geospatial Center (NCGC) to implement Esri GIS tools and techniques and their integration with an existing infrastructure to develop a geospatial data center. The products used include ArcSDE, ArcIMS, and ArcGIS. The paper also describes ongoing activities to provide GIS training and technology transfer throughout the agency.
