AbstractA GIS Work Order Data Analysis of Houston's Water System Track: Water Distribution, Wastewater, and Stormwater Author(s): Brian Long, Hamlet Hovsepian, John Hewitt The project objective was to provide a water system work order data analysis for the City of Houston using the City's GIS-based Information Management System in order to reduce future water main repairs by effectively prioritizing future replacement projects. The scope of services consisted of analyzing existing water main work order history; compiling work order data into field, management, and executive level reports; assisting in management of the field level activities and work order database input; determining status of repairs and replacements; and confirming compliance of process and procedures. GIS helped determine problem areas and proactively plan for future improvements. Brian Long Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc.
