Abstract
Redeveloping a MapObjects IMS Web Site with ArcIMS: The City of Emeryville Project

This paper reviews the redesign and redevelopment of the City of Emeryville's "One-Stop Shop", a MapObjects IMS-based environmental and planning Web site, developed several years ago. The One-Stop Shop grew out of the EPA's Brownfield's requirement for urban re-development. The new and improved website, now called OSIRIS, was upgraded to the latest ArcIMS technology. OSIRIS is comprised of four parcel-based modules: Planning, Environmental, Real Estate, and Public Arts. Each module incorporates the City's existing parcel-based GIS and tabular layers. The Web site is designed to be used by City employees, developers, real estate brokers and the general public, with differing levels of access accorded to each. The upgrade to ArcIMS also entailed a redesign to a more user-friendly and attractive interface. The details of the upgrade and website redesign will be the focus of this presentation.
