Abstract
Integrated Data Management Solutions Supporting Military Operations in Europe

The URS Corporation (URS) has provided services to the Department of Defense (DoD) within Europe for many years, in fields such as environmental management and compliance, facilities management, and master planning. Increasingly, traditional reporting methods are proving to be inadequate for supporting complex base operations. The Integrated Data Solutions group combines the GIS, data management, and IT capabilities available within URS Europe and is responsible for providing innovative reporting and decision support tools. This group, through the integration of traditional data management with GIS and Web-based technologies, has effectively improved URS support for DoD base operations within Europe.
