Abstract
Easement Inventory: Tracking MSD Easements in Jefferson County, Kentucky

Since its inception in July of 1946, Louisville and Jefferson County Metropolitian Sewer District (MSD) has been acquiring easements for sewer and drainage facilities. Fuller, Mossbarger, Scott and May Enignineers, Inc. have developed a methodology for the compilation of an easement inventory. Records that were once kept by hand are now being tracked using GIS. ArcView© Applications have been written to aid MSD customer service personnel, local watershed management teams and maintenance crews in tracking, locating and viewing easements within Jefferson County.
Points discussed in this paper will include database design considerations, organizational issues, applications, data cleanup issues, current project status, and future goals.
