Abstract
Integration of ArcView, ArcIMS, Microsoft SQL Server, and Excel for Property Appraisers

For years the U.S. appraisal community has leveraged Information Technology (I.T.) to efficiently serve the community. This includes CAMA systems running on RDBMS technology, spreadsheets and word processors. Although GIS has recently been added to the I.T. toolset of most appraisal offices, true integration of GIS, Internet applications, RDBMS systems, and desktop office software has not yet become a reality. The Collier County Property Appraiser's office (CCPA) and 3001, Inc. have integrated these products, resulting in a comprehensive online system for CCPA staff and the public. The result is a system that can be used by virtually anyone.
