AbstractStream Network Analysis with the National Hydrography Dataset (NHD) Track: Water Resources Author(s): Timothy Bondelid, Lucinda McKay, Tommy Dewald The NHD contains a powerful capability to traverse the stream network using what is referred to as the "Flow Table". This table contains information about the upstream and downstream connections between reaches. The Flow Table can be used in a variety of programming environments to develop important GIS-related information. This presentation will discuss how the Flow Table can be used within the ArcView and ArcInfo 8.x environments to compute key hydrologic information such as stream Order, cumulative drainage areas, total stream lengths, etc. Timothy Bondelid RTI 3040 Cornwallis Road P.O.
