Abstract
Esri Tools to Wireless Market Analysis Assessment

A Web solution was customized (Esri ArcIMS) to integrate all users of one of the biggest Brazilian wireless companies. Also Esri ArcGIS 8.1 was used in order to analyse the most atractive areas to wireless of D and E Bands, through an algorithm. The algorithm produces an hyerarchical list from the most attractive to the least one to each county, by geographic segmentation and ranking. To 71 selected counties, the process was refined to find out the most attractive areas, using census data, street maps, 43,584 census sectors (including 41 million people) and 1.6 million geocoded companies. Analysis taking into account the companies profiles, number of employees, demographic and economic aspects were made. The results were compared to real data in tested areas, showing a very good approach.
