Creating Schematic Representations of Utility Networks in ArcGIS

Schematic representations of GIS networks present data in the form of a diagram and simplify the representation of the network so that key characteristics are emphasized. Automating the schematic generation process can save time and money while creating current and accurate schematic maps. Network schematics complement the functionality of a GIS by enabling multiple representations of the same set of network objects. This presentation will discuss the benefits and the process of implementing ArcGIS Schematic--the ArcGIS automated schematic generation tool--in an electric utility.
