AbstractDevelopment of the Seismic Damage Mapping System with GPS Cellular Phone Track: EMS, Fire, Disaster Management Author(s): Go Urakawa, Kazunori Akimoto, Satoru Sadohara, Sumio Nishiyama Recently, many local governments introduce the computer system for mitigation disaster in Japan. Their main purpose is to collect information of real seismic damage from a disaster area quickly. This study aims at supporting decision-making on disaster by collecting real seismic damage using GPS (Global Positioning System) cellular phone. This system can collect information, which is collapsed house, fire, and so on with GPS cellular phone, and the center receive the data and output urban seismic damage maps by using GIS about ten minutes. This system is very simple and can help that local government make decision about emergency response. additional authors: Sumio Nishiyama, Research & Development Center, Increment P Co., Ltd.
