 Wi-Fi Deployment Selection Using ArcIMS Track: Telecommunications Author(s): Steven Schweickhardt SBC Communications, Inc., is a global leader in telecommunications services and provides a full range of voice, data, networking, and e-business services to address the specific needs of individual businesses and consumers. The increased interest in latest technology has lead SBC into the Wireless Networking or otherwise known as the Wi-Fi provider business. To assist with the deployment of Wi-Fi Hotspots by SBC, an ArcIMS application was created to support the alliance with a retail chain store in the midwest states SBC operates in. The application gives the user the power to visualize telecommunications boundary data along with current SBC DSL customers, Wireless Networking customers, and store locations.
