Integration of Model Results and the Marine Data Model Track: Ocean, Coastal, and Marine Resources Author(s): Michael Blongewicz With the devise of Esri's geodatabase and the Marine Data Model a data structure is in place that can support the inclusion of 2D numerical model results and time series data into a geodatabase. The data model provides for associating time series data to any feature in the data model. Additionally the data model provides for associating time series data to those features with multiple measuring devices at multiple depths. This, along with additionally being able to store 2D numerical model results as either a raster or as a vector representation within the same geodatabase, provides the user with access to all forms of model result data, linked with other physical feature data in a single repository. ArcMap and ArcObjects then give users the capabilities to access the result data by querying, synchronizing, and animating the data over time.
