The GISCI Certification Program Track: Education Author(s): Scott Grams In October 2003, URISA adopted a nationwide GIS certification program based on a pilot program run in Georgia. Certification is a great way to benchmark your experience and contributions, but first you have to understand the process and the documentation requirements.The presentation will road map the certification process, including an overview of the process, how the point system works, what grandfathering provisions exists, and how to apply for certification. At the end of the session there will be time for participants to ask questions that may arise as they start work on their portfolios.
