Integrating Geospatial Information for Littoral Warfare Operations Track: Defense and Intelligence Author(s): Steven Fleming Geospatial data for coastal zones are voluminous, meaning often difficult to effectively articulate to field commanders. This paper describes numerous approaches using Esri software of integrating geospatial information for littoral warfare operations. These include image evaluation techniques for aerial platforms and satellite systems; airspace, sea, and ground modeling for mission applications; and digital and analog mapping products at different scales for representing information necessary to complete numerous missions. These approaches are designed to incorporate all components of the Commercial Joint Mapping Toolkit which is currently under development and fielding. Potential future applications are further discussed and examined. Steven Fleming U.S. Army 1050 Calls Creek Court Watkinsville , GA 30677 US Phone: 706-542-2689 E-mail: sfleming@uga.edu |
