 Using GIS for Middle or Low Rate Hotel Reservation Track: Location Services Author(s): Hyojae Joun, Kwang-Hoon Ryu As the rapid diffusion of Internet and the advancement of computer technique, the necessity and demand of e-Business based management has increased all over the world. Tourism is the knowledge industry leading 21c. So, in order to meet increasing leisure demand and induce tourism industry's e-commerce to be more active, the effort of efficient management and customer relationship management in tourism industry has been requested. Therefore, we built an on-line reservation system for middle or low rate hotel, and the system serves tourist attractions around the hotel using GIS. This system will include an automatic scheduler function that can make Web-based tourist map for user by selecting certain option such as transportation type, duration, and surrounding attractions.
