Mapping the Natural History of the Lewis and Clark Trail Track: Ecology and Conservation Author(s): Bob Coulter, Alex Philp, Daniel Botkin With the Bicentennial Commemoration of Lewis and Clark's expedition upon us, there is growing interest in many aspects of the Trail. For the past two years, the Missouri Botanical Garden, GCS Research, Daniel Botkin, and NatureServe have been collaborating under National Park Service funding to develop an online map service that enables users to investigate the climate, species, and landforms of the Trail. With this resource, a wide variety of data is available to better understand historic and contemporary conditions.
