Data Replication and Synchronization for ArcGIS Track: Transportation Author(s): Mike Berman, Carrie Turner Many organizations face technological difficulties with real-time GIS data sharing, particularly when reconciling different versions of data that result when users are mobile, work at different sites, or work for separate departments. GO! Sync is a powerful tool built for ArcGIS that facilitates near real-time data sharing and achieves the goal of synchronization of replicated data. This technology is being used successfully in key areas including transportation network data maintenance between city and county departments in King County, Washington. This presentation describes GO! Sync and the King County implementation that enables multiple data maintainers to keep the centrally stored geodatabase at optimal currency.
