It covers how GIS was initially introduced to the department and how it is now a necessity in day to day decision making. The presentation will display real hands on day-to-day active uses of GIS as an invaluable decision making tool, and ways to improve efficiency in providing emergency services in many areas. Incident mapping, hazardous materials, on scene incident command, emergency operations center, planning and analysis, and mobil data are highlighted in detail.
