Modernizing Jamaica's Title Registration and Cadastral Systems Track: Cadastral and Land Records Author(s): Garfield Knight, Peter Rabley The National Land Agency of Jamaica has recently completed a major modernization of its Land Title Registration System in conjunction with its Cadastral System. This included automating the Land Titles office and the Survey and Mapping section to enable a complete digital workflow. This presentation will focus on how GIS is the enabling link between the cadastral survey layer and the processing of titles, and how the new system is improving work efficiencies, as well as enhancing transparency and security. It will also present the lessons learned by the authors in this complex and challenging project.
