 GIS Data Conversion, Training, and Layer Development Track: Electric and Gas Author(s): Tom Robertson, Juan Luera This paper explores and explains methods incorporated by McKim & Creed to convert CAD data, provide staff training and layer development. The objective of this project for Clearwater Gas System was to take existing CAD based files and convert them into GIS format. A protocol was established for Clearwater Gas System Staff for retrieval and data analysis. GIS standards and rules were developed and implemented.
