Workaround for ActiveX Connector Shortcomings
Track: Application Development
Author(s): Brian Kowalski

The intent of this paper is to provide developers using the ActiveX Connector a way to work around most, if not all, of the ActiveX Connector problems. The Application presented is a WebService written in Visual Basic 6. It gets the AXL constructed by the ActiveX Connector without sending the request to the Application Server. It fixes the AXL and then sends the corrected AXL to the Application Server. Examples include but may not be limited to fixes for the CreateBuffer method, adding a filter to the Search Layer and fixing the Legend.
