Using ArcIMS for Enterprise Information Integration Track: State and Local Government Author(s): Ryan Pream Esri's ArcIMS, combined with ArcMap Server and ArcSDE, provides a powerful platform for doing systems integration. The City of College Station has used this ability to bring data from different computer systems together in a single GIS interface. The data is brought together with a combination of real-time queries and automated data transfers. A custom ArcIMS client was developed to provide a user friendly interface to the data. This has provided the City of College Station with increased efficiency and has improved the information sharing between departments.
