GeoBase Implementation at Yokota Air Base, Japan Track: Defense and Intelligence Author(s): Mike Broten, Matthew Russell This paper provides a number of examples illustrating the application of GIS technology at a major USAF installation in Japan. As part of the USAF GeoBase program, an enterprise GIS capability is being developed to support all aspects of the Yokota Air Base mission. Specific examples of GeoBase/GIS support for base mapping, regional mapping, emergency response, project planning and 3D/terrain analysis are provided.
