 Persistent Cloud and Plume Analysis Using GIS Track: Homeland Security Author(s): Marvin Matsuda 9-11 ushered in new realities for the Air Force. In the process our military strategy had to deal with a new ominous threat that could put at considerable risk our domestic military bases. Although there are detection and initial monitoring software for Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD), persistent WMD monitoring still remains problematic in terms of technology and cost. Enter GIS and the ArcGIS Geostatistical Analyst extension as an interim solution.
