 Providing Driving Directions During Reconstruction of a Complex Urban Interchange Track: Transportation Author(s): Troy Marsh, Jeff Barnett The Marquette Interchange is a complex interstate highway interchange in downtown Milwaukee. Due to traffic volumes greater than expected, the current interchange has exceeded its useful life and will be reconstructed over the next several years. CH2M HILL and Esri have developed the "Map It" tool--a custom WebGIS application using ArcGIS Server to provide Web-based mapping, routing, and driving directions to the public via the Internet. This paper summarizes the development of this application including project history, technical approach, lessons learned, and future plans.
