Integrated Mapping at BHP Billiton Track: Petroleum Author(s): Robert Graham, Katya Casey Many mapping applications are used in petroleum exploration of which ArcGIS is a part. Other mapping applications BHP Billiton uses include Zmap+, CPS-3, Kingdom, Petrel, Recon, and Petrosys. Making all these applications work together and crossing operating systems is a challenge. BHP Billiton (BHP B) implements ArcGIS not as a stand-alone strategy but rather as an integral part of the mapping environment. Application integration is actually more about data integration.
