Analysis of Biodiversity Elements for Decision-Support System
Track: Education
Author(s): Dieu Ngu

This project plans to develop a prototype GIS process for analyzing biodiversity element-specific response to land-use. The methodology will evaluate whether a biodiversity element is more or less compatible with various land-uses. Currently, in creating a map of protection for biodiversity, protection is assumed homogenous to all species (elements) equally, even though some species respond differently to land-uses. To improve on this, the actual GIS process will be modified in the project to include the response of elements on land-use.
