Site Suitability Analysis for Multipurpose Wetlands Track: Education Author(s): Linda Wimberly The purpose of this project is to assist with the dilemma of locating suitable sites for multipurpose wetlands. Objectives are to build and analyze data sets in such a way as to see how varying importance of factors (e.g., soil, slope, public parcels) impact predicted locations of sites suitable for multipurpose wetlands. Remote Sensing and ground-truthing techniques will be used to create classifications for vegetation types as part of building a wetland geodatabase.
