NGA's National Center for Geospatial Intelligence Standards - Leading the Way Through GEOINT Standards Track: Defense and Intelligence Author(s): Karen Irby NGA's National Center for Geospatial Intelligence Standards (NCGIS) became operational 1 October 2003. The NCGIS manages the GEOINT Standards Program, which supports the requirements of the National System for Geospatial Intelligence (NSG) community and the NSG enterprise-wide system architecture. The NCGIS ensures a standards-based approach to achieving interoperability by setting, implementing, and being an advocate for GEOINT standards and standards management processes and policies that promote interoperability and operational efficiency across the NSG community. The NCGIS issued its Standards Roadmap 1 July 2004. This session will briefly review the status of the NCGIS.
