Abstract
 Integrated Multidimensional Geo-Spatial Data Warehouse and Web-Based Mountainside Management Platform Track: New Technology and System Integration Author(s): Chinh-Chung Kao, Yu-Sheng Lin, Chung-Chi Chang, Oliver Jecker, Tien-Yin Chou, Mei-Shin Chen The purpose of this study is to integrate and enhance the results that the Soil and Water Conservation Bureau (SWCB) has been working on for years. In recent decades, SWCB has been putting lots of effort into developing systems to assist management affairs. Several GIS systems and a gigantic geodatabase were built. However, the diverse data sources and unfriendly, user interfaces lead to confusion. The integrated program was revealed including the development of a multidimensional geospatial data warehouse, a Web-based integrated platform, and a mobile system. The warehouse was built to store all the mountainside geo-spatial data. The integrated platform was built to integrate SWCB GIS to improve usability. Multiple devices are capable of accessing the platform through the Internet, from PC-based to mobile devices. The mobile system was developed, using J2ME technology, to ensure the system can be accessed anywhere and anytime. This paper will provide a view of the implementation of the integrated platform and geo-data warehouse.
