Abstract
![]() Geospatial Data Model for Archaeology Site Data Track: Archaeology Author(s): Barbara Simpson, Lorri Peltz-Lewis, Anastasia Leigh, David Hansen, Patrick Welch Description of a data model for managing archaeology site data to meet the needs for U.S. Bureau of Reclamation (USBR) archaeologists. This model has application for general geodatabase model development for archaeology data. The applied model by USBR covers both historic and prehistoric site data. The applied model includes site information from a variety of sources including State Historic Preservation Offices, other agencies, and individual site records. Information includes spatial representation of sites as points, lines, or polygons, site records, field descriptions, and images or photos. Information stored in the model may then be accessed and used in queries, spatial analysis, and exploratory data analysis.
