Abstract
 Easy Web Based GIS Analysis: City of Portland Track: Application Development Author(s): Phillip Holmstrand A review of the City of Portland's web based GIS analysis technologies and applications. Heavy focus on the City's methods of taming Internet Mapping as we showcase the City of Portland's map serving architecture based on ArcGIS Server technology. The example application is the City of Portland's new Crime Analysis Mapping Information Network (CAMIN), a fully featured and entirely web driven crime analysis and reporting system. All of Portland's Police Officers now have the ability to run on-the-fly crime analysis functions in just a few clicks. A brief review of the City's Enterprise GIS Hub (EGH), a citywide GIS built upon ArcSDE and ArcInfo, will also be presented.
