Abstract
![]() Asset Management System Works for Portland Water District Track: Water, Wastewater, and Stormwater Author(s): Ben Ouellette The Portland Water District provides safe and reliable drinking water to more than 200,000 people in Southern Maine through a network of over 950 miles of pipe. Maintaining a network that covers more than 140 square miles can be challenging. The seamless integration of PWD's GIS, work management and asset management system, allows the PWD to analyze and maintain operational data in a much more efficient manner. This presentation will demonstrate the District's use of an ArcIMS intranet site accessed by field crews through Citrix, work order management using Hansen and ArcMap, and project planning using disconnected editing.
