Abstract
Utilizing GPS, Handheld, and ArcReader Technologies for Drainage Channel Maintenance Track: Environmental Management Author(s): Anthony Raguine, Dan Henderson The City of San Diego Streets division is responsible for maintaining several drainage channels throughout their jurisdiction. As they apply for a regional permit to impact vegetation in these channels, they are lookng for opportunities to mitigate those impacts in and around drainages that are owned by the City. The goal of this project was to utilize GPS and handheld technologies to efficiently collect field biological data, link that database to existing GIS datasets, and create an ArcReader application for end users to view and query data.
