Abstract
Complex, Disparate Data to Comprehensive Visualizations in Just One Click Track: Cartography and Map Production Author(s): Kaile Bower How do you spatially analyze more than 3,100 records with multiple attributes from various databases to produce a visually pleasing and informative display? To answer this question a non-interactive visualization of status report data was develped in ArcGIS. This application automatically assimilates thousands of data records, resulting from complex queries, into four separate but related maps, allowing the user to visualize the spatial patterns of the data file's source and status. This presentation will outline the steps taken to develop this application in a Visual Basic environment as well as the lessons learned.
