Abstract
GIS for Bundeswehr Exercises and Operations from a Central Database Track: Defense and Intelligence Author(s): Jens Wilke, Marko Prisky The Bundeswehr Geoinformation Office (BGIO) is responsible for providing any kind of geospatial information to all Bundeswehr forces. In the BGIO, all geospatial data is stored in a central database from which digital and hardcopy products for advisory purposes, operations ,and exercises are derived by means of data and map models. Two examples will be given to show how GIS and advisory materials are derived from the database using Esri products (ArcGIS Desktop, ArcSDE, ArcIMS).
